I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
